GALLERY KOGUREはビニールテープにて、画家・須田日菜子の個展を開催いたします。弊社では、ART OSAKA 2023 Expandedセクション以来の個展となります。
外部から受けるフラストレーションの高まりを、身体を以て発散させる”精神と身体のギャップ”をコンセプトに制作する須田日菜子。アクリルスプレーを手に、コミカルでに肉感のあるのびやかな線を描きます。
須田の作品はどこかコミカルかつセクシーで、確かな肉感と深い精神性を感じさせます。彼女のリズミカルで力強い静謐な線の表現を前に、もはや言葉はいりません。ある人はその中に晩年のマティスにも通じる深い祈りを感じ、またある人はその余白に幽玄美を見るでしょう。美術史の上に深く根を張った若木のような彼女の制作活動には、美術の可能性が宿っています。
細長く伸びるテープに埋め尽くされた空間で、鏡やガラスに映る須田のスプレーの線が呼応して踊りだす本展。ぜひご高覧ください。

GALLERY KOGURE is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by artist Hinako Suda at our VINYL TAPE (Kyoto). This marks her first solo exhibition since the Expanded section of ART OSAKA 2023 in our space.
Suda expresses the rising frustration from external pressures through her body, embodying the concept of the “gap between the mind and body.” Her works evoke a sense of humor and sensuality, conveying both physicality and profound spirituality. In front of her rhythmic, powerful, and serene lines, words become unnecessary. Some may find a deep prayer reminiscent of late Matisse, while others might perceive an ethereal beauty in the spaces she creates. Her artistic practice is like a young tree deeply rooted in art history, embodying the possibilities of art.
In this exhibition, the space filled with elongated tape interacts with the mirrored reflections of Suda’s spray lines, creating a dynamic experience. We invite you to come and experience the unique world of Hinako Suda.
